Designed Propwire mobile app to simplify real estate investment data for 2M+ Users

Propwire is a real estate SaaS platform that provides the largest free property database in the US for real estate investors and agents. When I took on the challenge of designing the Propwire Mobile App, the goal wasn't just to "shrink" a web platform. It was to build a high-performance engine that allowed 2 million users to find, analyze, and close deals from anywhere in the world.

82% adoption rate in the first 45 days

Users rapidly shifted their primary "lead hunting" workflows from desktop-only sessions to real-time mobile interactions while on the field.

27–65% boost in high-intent interactions

Three months post-release, the frequency of "Skip Trace" requests jumped by 27%, while the time from "Lead Discovery" to "Direct Contact" was reduced by 65%.

95% average completion rate

Core high-stakes tasks—such as applying complex "Stacking" filters, skip-tracing owners, and saving leads—achieved near-perfect completion rates in mobile usability scorecard studies.

"Working with Intishib was a pleasure. He's an excellent designer, communicates well, and works fast! My company (Propwire) plans to hire him again in the future, and I would strongly recommend him for other projects."

Challenge

The "Data-Drown" Paradox

The Propwire web platform is a powerhouse, offering data on over 157 million properties. However, for the mobile user, this vastness was a double-edged sword. users were overwhelmed.

The North Star Problem Statement: "How might we provide institutional-grade data accuracy in a mobile environment without sacrificing the speed and simplicity required for on-the-ground decision-making?"

We found that users were struggling with:

Information Overload

Navigating 50+ filters on a 6-inch screen.

High Churn in Onboarding

Users couldn't find "the gold" quickly enough to see the value.

Context Switching

The friction between finding a lead and taking action (calling/skipping) was too high.

The Strategy

Before a single pixel was pushed in Figma, we went back to the "Why." I led the team through a deep immersion phase, mapping out the journey of real estate investors, agents & home buyers.

We prioritized Information Architecture and User Flow over visual flair.

Our strategy focused on three pillars:

1

1

The "Search-First" Experience

Getting users to their specific niche (Wholesaling, Flipping, Rental) in under three taps.

2

2

Visual Hierarchy for Rapid Analysis

Highlighting the "Must-Knows" (Equity, Lead Type, Estimated Value) so investors can "swipe or stay" in seconds.

3

3

Revenue-Driven Design

Every design intervention was measured against its ability to reduce churn and increase the Lifetime Value (CLV) of the subscriber.

Solution

The "2-Tap" Skip Trace

On the old web version, getting an owner's contact info (Skip Tracing) was a 5-step nightmare. In the new mobile app, it’s a 2-tap flow. You find the house, you tap "Get Owner Info," and you’re calling them before you’ve even left the curb.

The Proactive Alert

Browser limitations meant users missed leads. We implemented native Push Notifications. For a wholesaler, getting a notification 2 hours faster isn't just a convenience—it’s the difference between a $10,000 commission and a missed opportunity.

Redefining the Search: From Input to Intent

By positioning the GPS "Current Location" trigger as the hero action, I enabled users to pull property data for their immediate surroundings with a single tap. To streamline recurring workflows, I integrated a "Memory Rail" of Recent and Saved Searches directly onto the landing state. This shift turned the search bar into a one-tap command center, allowing users to monitor high-priority zones without repetitive typing. The result was a 42% reduction in keyboard usage and a search flow that matches the pace of the field.

Impact: Speed drives adoption and ROI

By designing for context over complexity, we transformed Propwire into a high-speed tool that users actually trust in the field. The results validated that when you eliminate technical friction, you clear the path for both user success and business growth.

Key outcomes:

  • The native app saw an 82% adoption rate among existing mobile users within the first month.

  • 32% more Skip Traces were performed on mobile, directly increasing average revenue per user.

  • Support tickets related to search and filter errors decreased by 74%, significantly reducing operational overhead.

  • Mobile task success rate increased from <20% to 84%, indicating a massive shift in usability.
